Plague
SYMPTOMS may include sudden chills, painful swelling of lymph node in groin,
fever, thirst, vomiting, headache, delirium and in 3 days black spots appear
CAUSES. The bacterium Pasteurella pestis which is transmitted by rodents is
the cause of Bubonic plague. It has long been called the "black plague".
Pneumonic plague produces sputum with specks of blood, caughing & pneumonia.
TREATMENT. Antibiotics are effective more than 95 percent of the time.
